Our yearly Free-Tuition Programme:
was launched out of necessity to empower the underprivileged female youths
and women within our locality for free, to stimulate their performance, and
improve their productivity and creativity. Through this apprenticeship training
programme, capacity is hereby built for graduates, undergraduates, housewives,
school dropouts, secondary school students and school leavers, thus,
translating to self-employment in the context of small scale enterprise in the
economy.
Within the
context of this strategy, our objectives include the followings:
- To empower the unemployed, the underemployed, and the less fortunate women and youths by our skills acquisition programmes in Ikorodu.
- To empower about 50 female youths & women within our target groups in one year and 250 within five years
- To introduce beneficiaries to skills that are less capital intensive and in high demand
- To contribute towards the reduction of unemployment rate within our immediate environment and Nigeria as a whole
- To be identified with the Federal, State, and Local Government Councils on similar issues.
- To identify with a number of international organizations having similar objectives by 2017
- To train beneficiaries to become instructors and employers of labor
- To make entrepreneur out of the unemployed
- To offer general counsel
WHY CONCENTRATING ON OUR IMMEDIATE ENVIRONMENT (IKORODU NORTH)?
No programme of this kind exists
in this local government area where we have high concentration of our target
groups
i . Available records indicate
over 60% unemployment rate within the above locality.Empowering and effectively
engaging the female youths through this programme will not only make them
become economic self-reliant but will also shift their focus away from social
vices, crimes and other nefarious acts
ii.
It is densely populated with
about 80% being low income earners and having little or no formal or informal
education.
iii.
High concentration of our
target groups/beneficiaries

Existence of a tertiary
institution in the above local government development area which is
largely responsible for the high percentage of some of our target groups

WHY DO WE ASK FOR THE
STIPEND (TUITION) ?: As it is presently, the programme cannot be entirely free
as we honestly do not have the kind of financial strength to do just that. So,
asking our applicants to pay the above tuition provides another means of
generating income for the organization. However, we are trusting God for more
support so that having an entirely zero-tuition programme can be realized in no
distant future.
Industrial
Training Fund (ITF): The Empowering Destiny for
Eternity Network Initiative (Eden-I), having being authorized by this federal
government agency, have graduated and awarded certificates to 58 out of the 122
students who have, either acquired skill(s) or are currently undergoing
training. Meanwhile, certificate is
jointly signed by ITF and EDEN-I

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
1. Inadequate space for training: For some time now, we have been grappling with the problem of inadequate space for training. This is as a result of the high patronage or demand for our service and we sincerely solicit your support to enable us build, or acquire, or rent a bigger facility that will enhance our activities at the training center. It will be a big relief if only we can do without paying rent.
2. Sewing and Industrial machines: Your support in these area of our needs would no doubt help to expand our machinery and extend the privilege to more women and girls therefore empowering them to acquire, at least, a skill for economic self-reliance and self-sustenance
3. 2016 free tuition programme: We need a N100,000 to enable us achieve this purpose this year. Even though the beneficiaries are not required to pay tuition, however, Instructor(s) is usually remunerated for the number of students trained.
4. This particular programme is designed to avail 20 unemployed the privilege to be empowered without having to pay tuition.
